The Voice Of My Heart
Message from Iswurdeo Soborun
I feel my heart as wide as the vast ocean,
As spacious as the surface of the sky,
As high as the ceiling of heaven.
What My heart says,
I write it to the ocean,
I write it to the sky,
I write it to heaven.
In obeisance, I write, read and feel
The endless flow of words from my heart....
The Voices that I hear as gentle echoes coming
From the valleys of my heart,
Filling me with an endless energy
To write and read forever in art
The pages of my heart.
Brightness comes with the light of the sun,
I cannot stop myself from writing
What my heart has to sing.
Darkness comes in timely reason,
I continue to sing the songs of my heart.
With my eyes closed,
I can see the words of my heart.
With my ears closed,
I can hear the songs of my heart.
Time goes by, I write with no end,
For I can never close the gate of the ocean,
I can never lock the brightness of the sun,
I can never stop the road leading to Heaven...
My wish is to reach its doorstep, Paradise won,
Praised by the voice of my heart

Moonlight
Blue lights have garmented Heaven.
Yellow lights have clothed the Earth
Under the ceiling of the sky
Clouds moving slowly, up high
Not to disturb Nature at its sleeping time.
Lovers whispering in the ears of each other.
Thinkers writing words of their minds one after another.
Lakes and seas have attuned their wave tides
Allowing their inhabitants to nestle deep inside.
Flowers are breathing the gentle breeze of the night.
Valleys speaking to mountains, messages love-like.
Cities, Towns and Villages are crowned
With the golden lights of the moon,
Caressing Nature with its gentle light.

The Girl Playing Her Piano
Late in the morning, I heard a soft music,
Coming from the neighbouring house, in brick.
A young girl in her teens, playing piano,
Drowned in notes, she and her instinct know.
With closed eyes and absorbed mind,
Tuning melodies that make the day shine.
The enchanting music of Mozart,
Vibrating and melting my heart.
From her magic touch, nature was soothed,
Attracting all creatures, in movement smoothed,
Gracefully and majestically, swinging
At the rhythm of the music, rezoning.
So wonderfully was she playing,
Far and wide in the air, her notes were drawing,
Temples and palaces, enlightening.
Beguiled were the Earth's ears,
At the enraptured beauty, bringing tears
Of bliss in the eyes of Angels
Weaving heavenly legends in chorales.

About the Author: Iswurdeo was born in Mauritius and had spent several years in United Kingdom before he moved to Switzerland, a country of great natural beauty that inspires him for his poems. In 2005, Iswurdeo was awarded “Outstanding Achievement in Poetry” by the International Society of Poets, USA. He has since then written more than 700 poems, many of which are honoured “excellent” by the distinguished Members of the International Society of Poets.
